ABOUT ME

Joseph Vallory is a multidisciplinary artist working across acrylic, oil, ink, watercolour, sculpture, photography and mixed media. His abstract and surreal practice is driven by instinct, experimentation and a fascination with colour, texture and balance. Rarely beginning with a fixed plan, Vallory allows curiosity and raw intuition to shape each work, refining ideas only toward the final stages.

A formative Erasmus exchange in Bilbao in 2003 profoundly influenced his creative outlook, embedding themes of escapism, emotion and existential questioning into his practice. A near-fatal studio accident in 2005 marked another turning point, deepening both his perspective and intensity.

Vallory has exhibited in London and across Europe, including at the Oxo Tower and Jerwood Gallery. His work remains open to interpretation, inviting viewers to find their own meaning within each piece.
